The SMPTE Atlanta Section Fall Conference, held at GPTV this past =
Saturday, was a huge success.=20
We had approximately 100 attendees at the 2 program tracks, with 16 =
experts delivering information related to our industry. We even had our =
own expert - Clyde Smith from Turner Entertainment, step in at the last =
minute and deliver a presentation. The conference ended with a wrap-up =
panel discussion.
I would like to thank David Siegler and the planning committee for a =
great job. They have worked many weeks preparing for this event, and it =
showed - although it was a local event, it was of a national caliber.
I would also like to thank Mark Fehlig of Georgia Public Television who =
let us use his facility, and thank Rommie Johnson who helped coordinate =
everything on GPTV's behalf.
Thank you TJ Scott and Grass Valley/Thomson Broadcast Group for =
sponsoring the delicious food. And finally, I would also like to thank =
all of the sponsors and presenters.
