Content is an asset to every facility. Managing content easily and displaying content in different formats for different mediums can be difficult, time consuming and costly in terms of operational
budgets. Today's graphical content management process involves many different and disparate hardware and software platforms and user interfaces. Ryad Kahale, Regional Sales Manager for vizrt, will discuss and demonstrate a streamlined method of creating, managing, and displaying graphical content for TV, web, etc. using open platform software and hardware solutions.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, December 7:
The Atlanta Section will be sponsoring an all-day seminar series addressing the question, "What comes next in our digital transition?”" The event will be held at the GPTV facility and will also offer SBE certification testing. A group of members chaired by David Siegler is working to finalize the program for the seminar. Preliminary program topics include Asset Management, Facility Monitoring and Control, Video and Audio Watermarking, Aspect Ratio and Format Conversion of film and video content and Standardization of Content File Formats. More information on program and registration will be available soon. An entertaining, as well as educational program for Friday night arrivals is also being planned. (Atlanta on a Friday night
— the possibilities are nearly limitless.)
Easier to use web address:
This
web site can now be reached with the address atlsmpte.arfunk.com,
without the "www" and with no slashes. (This is in addition
to www.arfunk.com/atlsmpte,
just another way to reach the same site.)
News:
The
Peach State Chapter of the Society of Broadcast Engineers is reorganizing
and plans to become more active. They now have a web site at www.broadcast.net/~sbe5/
where you can find more information.
