Critical Focus in HDTV

Achieving critical focus with current HDTV viewfinders is difficult. This presentation will describe the microprocessor controlled Precision Focus Assist System, as developed by Fujinon & NHK, and how this new
technology helps the cameraperson in this important function.

The presenter for this month's program is Thom Calabro, National Sales Manager for Fujinon. Thom has been with Fujinon for 7 years. Prior to this Thom was employed by Philips Broadcast Televisions Systems as Marketing Manager - Acquisition Products, where he helped develop products such as the LDK 100/200, LDK 6000, and the Super SloMo. Thom came to Philips from Ikegami Electronics where he served as Executive VP
& Director of Engineering.

All interested people are invited to this meeting. While we encourage you to join our organization, you do not have to be a SMPTE member to attend.
